Auto Open: The electronic lock can be programmed to unlock at a certain time and then relock at a certain time. An example would be unlock at 8am and relock at 5pm. The lock can also be programmed to unlock if there is a fire alarm.

Users: Many users can have access to a certain door, but their access can be controlled by date and time. For example most users will have 8-5 access; however supervisors will have 24 hour access. The possibilities can be endless. All access will be tracked and will be available for later audit.

Different manufacturers will have different variations of the above and will add features of their own. Features such as mobile functions, Wi-Fi with Bluetooth, home automation and apps are examples of some of the features that can be added to the software.
